Baseball Game Preview: Walnut Mustangs vs. Glendora Tartans

For the second straight game, Walnut will face off against Glendora. The Mustangs will take on the Tartans at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Walnut took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Glendora 8-2. That six-run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

For Glendora's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Santiago Garza, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Glendora has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Walnut, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-10-1.
