Baseball Recap: Manatee Victorious

Manatee picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Signal Mountain Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

Ashton Hovda was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Rodriguez, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Manatee's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Signal Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Manatee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-3 defeat against Alcoa on the 10th. As for Signal Mountain, they will face off against Sweetwater at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
