Preview: Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers vs. Lakeview Gators
Jonesboro-Hodge has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Lakeview Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Jonesboro-Hodge beat Many 43-38. The victory was just what Jonesboro-Hodge needed coming off of a 70-39 defeat in their prior matchup.
Meanwhile, even though Winnfield scored an imposing 56 points on Tuesday, Lakeview still came out on top. Lakeview took down Winnfield 71-56.
Jonesboro-Hodge's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14. As for Lakeview, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.
Jonesboro-Hodge was dealt a bruising 63-24 loss at the hands of Lakeview in their previous matchup on January 9th. Can Jonesboro-Hodge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
