Softball Recap: Winchester Red & Black vs. Woburn Memorial Tanners
Winchester lost against Woburn Memorial back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Winchester Red & Black fell victim to a rough 22-6 loss at the hands of the Woburn Memorial Tanners. Winchester has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Campbell Henning and Carys Gugliotta stepped up to the plate in a big way. Henning scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Gugliotta went 1-for-2 with three RBI and a triple. Julia Legere was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Winchester now has a losing record at 2-3.
Winchester will head out on the road to face off against Lexington at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Winchester is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Woburn Memorial, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Winchester at 4:15 p.m. on May 7th.
