Recap: Springlake-Earth Wolverines vs. Miami Warriors
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Springlake-Earth Wolverines can now relate to. They took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of Miami on Friday. Springlake-Earth's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Miami got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Haiden Thompson out in front who threw for 264 yards and six touchdowns, and also rushed for 100 yards on only 14 carries. Luke Wheeler was another key contributor, gaining 211 total yards and two touchdowns.
Springlake-Earth's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Miami, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-0.
Springlake-Earth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Miami will be playing in front of their home fans against Happy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Happy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 556 points over their last 11 matchups.
