Volleyball Recap: Poth Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lehman on Tuesday, Poth came back down to earth. The Pirates fell just short of the Falls City Beavers by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Beavers earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Poth actually scored more points across those five sets (104-103), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 15-25, 15-12.

Poth's defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Falls City, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Poth will head out to square off against Wimberley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Falls City, they will face off against McMullen County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
