Basketball Game Preview: Shenandoah Valley Academy Stars vs. Eastern Mennonite Flames

Shenandoah Valley Academy is 2-7 against Eastern Mennonite since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Shenandoah Valley Academy Stars will get right back to it and host the Eastern Mennonite Flames at 6:30 p.m. Shenandoah Valley Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Eastern Mennonite likes a good challenge.

Shenandoah Valley Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Massanutten Military Academy 94-37 on Monday. With the Stars ahead 48-28 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Eastern Mennonite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were outmatched by North Cross and fell 102-40. The Flames were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-22.

Shenandoah Valley Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.6 points. As for Eastern Mennonite, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.

Shenandoah Valley Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Eastern Mennonite when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 73-67 victory. Will Shenandoah Valley Academy repeat their success, or does Eastern Mennonite have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
