Dayton entered their tilt with Willamina on Wednesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 14-4 victory. Considering the Pirates have won 17 contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Dayton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.6 runs over those games. As for Willamina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-6-1.

Dayton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-0 win against Jefferson on the 15th. As for Willamina, they have also already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Amity on the 16th.
