Volleyball Game Preview: Head-Royce Jayhawks vs. Berean Christian Eagles

The Head-Royce Jayhawks will face off against the Berean Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Head-Royce will be strutting in after a win while Berean Christian will be coming in after a loss.

Berean Christian will be up against a hot Head-Royce squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Jayhawks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Brave Christian on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Berean Christian came up short against Benicia on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Berean Christian actually scored more points across those four sets (90-87), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Berean Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Anna McCombe had 23 assists and five digs. McCombe is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 21 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Grace Geisler also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Berean Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Head-Royce, their victory bumped their record up to 16-7.
