It was a good run, but East Carter unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the East Prairie Eagles by a score of 6-5.

East Carter's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for East Prairie, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

East Carter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-3 loss against Doniphan on the 6th. As for East Prairie, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 win against Bernie on the 6th.
