The Cross Trojans will be playing at home against the Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cross will be strutting in after a victory while Palmetto Scholars Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Cross can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 72-40 win over Charleston Math & Science on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Cross has posted since December 2, 2023.
It was another big night for Jamez Way, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Way is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Caden Ramsey was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Palmetto Scholars Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to St. John's 49-44. Palmetto Scholars Academy has struggled against St. John's recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Cross' victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Cross skirted past Palmetto Scholars Academy 53-51 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Will Cross repeat their success, or does Palmetto Scholars Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
