Basketball Recap: Martinsville Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

Martinsville lost to Laneville back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Martinsville Pirates never let the Laneville Yellowjackets onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The two-point effort marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Martinsville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Laneville, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10.

Martinsville will finish 2024 at home by hosting Pineywoods Community Academy at 1:00 p.m. on December 30th. Laneville will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Big Sandy at 2:30 p.m. on December 30th.
