Volleyball Game Preview: East Wilkes Cardinals vs. North Surry Greyhounds + How To Watch

The East Wilkes Cardinals will head out on the road to square off against the North Surry Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

East Wilkes lost 3-0 to Ashe County on Thursday. The Cardinals have struggled against the Huskies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

East Wilkes was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, North Surry hadn't done well against East Surry recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Greyhounds narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cardinals 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Greyhounds have posted since September 9th.

East Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for North Surry, their record is now 13-6.

East Wilkes suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to North Surry when the teams last played back in August. Can the Cardinals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
