Winfield extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 4-2. They put the hurt on the Marion County Red Raiders with a sharp 58-34 win. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 24 points or more this season.

As for Marion County, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since January 21st.

Loss or not, Marion County got some senior leadership from Philip Wilson and Samuel Taylor. Wilson posted six points along with eight rebounds and four steals, while Taylor earned 12 points and seven boards. Wilson is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Winfield will square off against Carbon Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.56 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Marion County, they will challenge Vina at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
