Volleyball Recap: West Field Longhorns vs. Box Elder Bees

After flying high against Logan on Tuesday, West Field came back down to earth. The Longhorns fell just short of the Box Elder Bees by a score of 2-1 on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

Coulter Shakespear paced West Field's offense, picking up eight kills. Shakespear got some help from Josh Metcalf and his 20 assists. Finally, Lucas Chugg kept West Field's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

West Field has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. As for Box Elder, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2.
