Softball Recap: Eatonville Takes a Loss

If Eatonville was feeling good fresh off their 19-5 takedown of Clover Park on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cruisers lost 17-6 to the Franklin Pierce Cardinals on Monday. The Cruisers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2021.

Zoe Burns and Josie Lavergne stepped up to the plate in a big way. Burns went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI, while Lavergne went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Eatonville now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Franklin Pierce, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

While Eatonville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
