Baseball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord lost a heartbreaker to South Bend Adams when they met back in May of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Saturday. The Minutemen fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 8-6. The Minutemen haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Mark Herman was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Alex Kridler was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for South Bend Adams, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Concord will host Northridge at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Bend Adams, they will welcome Jimtown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jimmies have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
