Softball Game Preview: Manchester Panthers vs. West Allegheny Indians

The Manchester Panthers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the West Allegheny Indians at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Manchester's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Mishicot, sneaking past 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since April 20, 2024.

Not much got past Rachel Baker, who gave up just two hits and racked up 17 Ks to keep Mishicot off the board.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cassidy Perry, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for West Allegheny, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Ambridge last Thursday.

West Allegheny's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Manchester, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
