Basketball Recap: Jay Picks Up 17th Consecutive Win

Jay waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Southside Cardinals 91-33. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 22 games by 20 points or more this season.

Zachariah Linson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 5-for-8 from downtown and dropping a double-double with 31 points and 13 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camrin Garza, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists.

Jay pushed their record up to 31-2 with the victory, which was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.6 points over those games. As for Southside, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-23 record this season.

As of now, neither Jay nor Southside have any future games scheduled.
