Softball Game Preview: Irondequoit Eagles vs. Brighton Bruins

For the second straight game, Irondequoit will face off against Brighton. The Eagles will face off against the Bruins at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Irondequoit is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Irondequoit and Brighton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Eagles fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 5-4 on Wednesday. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bruins since on Wednesday.

Abby Ras made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Bella Faticone, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

With the win, Brighton broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-8. As for Irondequoit, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
