Baseball Recap: Patrick County Picks Up 15th Straight Win on the Road

Patrick County barely beat Glenvar the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Highlanders 9-1 on Tuesday. The Cougars not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2nd (when they won 15-1).

Patrick County's win was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Glenvar, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Patrick County is set to square off against their familiar foe Radford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Glenvar will take on rival Carroll County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Highlanders 4.1, the Cavaliers 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
