Volleyball Recap: Spencer Comes Up Short

If Spencer was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Greenwood on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rockets fell just short of the Rosholt Hornets by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Rockets in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost five in a row.

Carmen Krause paced Spencer's offense, picking up 13 kills. Krause got some help from Chloe Timm and her 23 assists. Timm was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Spencer's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Rosholt, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Spencer didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Abbotsford on the 27th. As for Rosholt, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Mondovi on the 27th.
