Basketball Recap: Power Center Academy Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Power Center Academy won the last time they faced Hamilton and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Power Center Academy Knights enjoyed a cozy 68-54 win over the Hamilton Wildcats. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while the Wildcats are ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Power Center Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Wynn, who went 6 for 12 en route to 15 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Wynn is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Temarcus Black, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 14 points.

Power Center Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Hamilton, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Power Center Academy beat Hamilton by a score of 74-66 on Wednesday.
