Softball Recap: Alton Redbirds vs. East St. Louis Flyers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Freeburg, Alton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the East St. Louis Flyers get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Redbirds considering their two-run performance the matchup before.

Gabby Terrell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
