Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Noah Durham and Carter Moore Lead Hickory Christian Academy to Victory

There's no place like home for Hickory Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 75-59 win over the Tabernacle Christian Conquerors on Monday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Conquerors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Hickory Christian Academy was led to victory by Carter Moore and Noah Durham. Moore almost dropped a double-double with 23 points and nine rebounds, while Durham posted 29 points. Moore's big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Jakob Massey was another key player, putting up four points and five steals.

Tabernacle Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Schatz, who earned 15 points and seven boards. Schatz is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elijah Taguinod, who had 16 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Hickory Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Tabernacle Christian, their record is now 3-7.

Hickory Christian Academy and Tabernacle Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Knights will face off against Triad Baptist Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (454 vs. 174). Meanwhile, Tabernacle Christian (ranked 531st) will meet Alamance Christian (ranked 236th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
