Soccer Game Preview: Lake-Lehman vs. Wyoming Seminary College Prep

The Lake-Lehman Knights will square off against the Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lake-Lehman is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 15 games.

Lake-Lehman proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by four) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat Wilkes-Barre by a goal, winning 2-1. Given Lake-Lehman's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Wilkes-Barre are ranked 172nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kolby Shook and Andrew Mathes scored both of Lake-Lehman's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wyoming Seminary College Prep). Everything went their way against Berwick on Thursday as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, who have now won nine contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Wyoming Seminary College Prep's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Lake-Lehman, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.

Lake-Lehman beat Wyoming Seminary College Prep by a goal when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-2. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Blue Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
