Basketball Recap: Wakefield Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wakefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 68-32 defeat at the hands of the South Garner Titans.

Several Wolverines players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kate Benson, who posted nine points and four steals. Benson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Holmes, who put up seven points.

Chloe Crawford was nothing short of spectacular for South Garner: she went 9-for-15 en route to 22 points. Those 22 points gave Crawford a new career-high. Kimaya Barnes was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Wakefield's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Garner, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Wakefield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-34 defeat against Southern School of Energy and Sustainability on the 29th. As for South Garner, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-35 win against Dudley on the 29th.
