Volleyball Recap: Addy Horn and Jaycee Gusemann Secure Win for PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central won the last time they faced New Berlin and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bluejays came out on top against the Pretzels by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bluejays.

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central never let New Berlin on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-22.

Leading PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central to victory were Jaycee Gusemann and Addy Horn. Gusemann had 17 digs and one assist, while Horn had 14 digs and one assist. Those 14 digs gave Horn a new career-high.

Despite the loss, New Berlin still got an impressive performance from Haylee Rister, who had 15 digs.

PORTA/Ashland-Chandlerville Central's record now sits at 9-17. As for New Berlin, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season.
