Softball Recap: Fredericksburg Christian Eagles vs. Westmoreland Eagles
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Fredericksburg Christian blew past Westmoreland 10-2. The result was nothing new for Fredericksburg Christian, who have now won three matches by eight runs or more so far this season.
Scarlett Whittaker made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
In other batting news, Rylie Johnson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Reagan Thomas also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.
