Soccer Game Preview: Bay vs. Sumrall

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bay duke it out with the Sumrall on Tuesday. Bay is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Northeast Jones a 3-0 shutout. Give Bay's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Sumrall faced Richland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Sumrall came out on top against Richland by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Bay's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Sumrall, their win bumped their record up to 15-5-2.

Bay came out on top in a nail-biter against Sumrall in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bay since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
