Volleyball Recap: Drake/Anamoose Comes Up Short

Drake/Anamoose extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-10-1. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Velva Aggies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aggies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Tuesday.

As for Velva, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-12-2 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Drake/Anamoose since September 30, 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Velva to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brynlee Zieman, who had 14 digs. That's the most digs Zieman has posted since back in September.

As of now, neither Drake/Anamoose nor Velva have any future games scheduled.
