Basketball Recap: West Carroll Comes Up Short

West Carroll was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 60-48 to the East Dubuque Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 598th, while the Warriors are ranked 293rd).

West Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for East Dubuque, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

West Carroll will be playing in front of their home fans against Galena at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Galena will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something West Carroll surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Dubuque, they will challenge River Ridge/Scales Mound at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
