Basketball Recap: Chisholm Takes a Loss

After flying high against Stella Maris Academy on Friday, Chisholm came back down to earth. The Bluestreaks lost to the Greenway Raiders at home by a 50-35 margin on Tuesday. If the Bluestreaks were looking for revenge after losing 82-66 to the Raiders when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Chisholm lost, don't look at Isaac Fleming. Despite the final result, he posted six points in addition to 11 boards and three steals. Fleming has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Charlie Pearson was another key player, putting up nine points.

Chisholm's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Greenway, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Chisholm wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-41 defeat against Littlefork-Big Falls on the 12th. As for Greenway, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cromwell/Floodwood at 7:15 p.m. on January 5, 2026.
