Recap: Robertsdale Golden Bears vs. Citronelle Wildcats
The Robertsdale Golden Bears won the last time they faced the Citronelle Wildcats, and things went their way on Monday too. Robertsdale put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 56-30 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Robertsdale.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Robertsdale to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hannah Johansen, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Johansen continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaunte Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Robertsdale is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-12 record this season. As for Citronelle, their loss was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Robertsdale will take on the Chieftains at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chickasaw has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 20. As for Citronelle, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st.
