Basketball Recap: Malden Takes a Loss

Malden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 49-35 to the Somerville Highlanders. The Golden Tornados were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Malden's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Somerville, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Malden has already played their next contest (against Lynn Classical), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Somerville has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Medford.
