The Palmer Moose will take on the Homer Mariners at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

Palmer is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Kenai Central, who was ranked sixth at the time (Palmer was ranked 11th). The Moose came up short against the Kardinals on Saturday, falling 7-0. The defeat continues a trend for Palmer in their meetings with Kenai Central: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Homer after they claimed the first score on Friday, but it was Palmer who ended up claiming the real prize. The Mariners fell just short of the Moose by a score of 3-2.

Palmer's loss dropped their record down to 11-4-1. As for Homer, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-1 record this season.
