Vista Murrieta entered their tilt with Chaparral on Monday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They put the hurt on the Pumas with a sharp 7-0 win. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Vaughn Neckar made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two runs, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other pitching news, Ivan DeSantiago looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, RJ Holmes was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Jaylen Adams was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Vista Murrieta pushed their record up to 20-5-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Chaparral, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Vista Murrieta will have a chance to go back-to-back against Chaparral: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
