Volleyball Recap: Canyon Takes a Loss

Canyon entered their match against Crossroads on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cowboys fell just short of the Roadrunners by a score of 1-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Cowboys were not able to get on the board.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Canyon sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23.

Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Crossroads, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Villanova Prep on the 23rd. As for Crossroads, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Santa Barbara on the 23rd.
