Basketball Game Preview: Headland Rams vs. Carroll Eagles

Headland hasn't had much luck against Carroll recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Headland Rams will venture away from home to take on the Carroll Eagles at 7:30 p.m.

Headland lost 49-28 to Eufaula on Friday. The game marked the Rams' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carroll). They breezed by Daleville to the tune of 105-28 on Friday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Carroll is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 47.7 points. As for Headland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Headland skirted past Carroll 44-41 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Headland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
