Softball Preview: Abbeville Panthers vs. Ware Shoals Hornets
The Abbeville Panthers will challenge the Ware Shoals Hornets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Abbeville's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Emerald 16-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Meanwhile, Ware Shoals got the win against Emerald on Thursday by a conclusive 17-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.
Sarah Vinson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three runs and one RBI.
