Patrick County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 7-6 W against the Radford Bobcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-7 back in April.

Patrick County's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Radford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Patrick County will square off against rival Floyd County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 3.9, the Buffaloes 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Radford is set to face off against their familiar foe Alleghany at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
