Recap: White Mountain Wolves vs. Gambell King Polar Bear
The White Mountain Wolves lost against the Gambell King Polar Bear back in February of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. White Mountain fell 66-54 to Gambell. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for White Mountain in their matchups with Gambell: they've now lost seven in a row.
Despite the loss, White Mountain had strong showings from Jadyn Barr, who scored 22 points, and Kaden Adams, who scored 18 points. Adams is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was James Ione, Jr., who scored six points.
Gambell found their leader in underclassman Jarvis Campbell-Soonagrook, who scored 24 points. Campbell-Soonagrook continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Damian Campbell-Newhall was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
White Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Gambell, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
