Softball Recap: Blaine Comes Up Short

If Blaine was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Eagan on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bengals fell just short of the Brainerd Warriors by a score of 6-5 on Monday. The Bengals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Blaine now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Brainerd, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blaine will venture away from home to take on Robbinsdale Armstrong at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brainerd, they will head out to face off against Fergus Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
