Millis hasn't had much luck against Norton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mohawks are taking a road trip to take on the Lancers at 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, Millis came up short against Ashland and fell 6-2.

Keira Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Norton had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.4 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 23-3 win. The Lancers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Liana Danubio was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with five runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Avery Tinkham and CeeCee Goodwin did most of the damage at the plate: Tinkham went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles, while Goodwin got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Tinkham has posted since back in March. Madelyn Artz also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Norton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Holliston only posted an OBP of .304.

Norton's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for Millis, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Millis might still be hurting after the 15-2 defeat they got from Norton when the teams last played back in March. Can the Mohawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
