Baseball Recap: Appomattox County's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Appomattox County came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Chatham Cavaliers by a score of 8-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 on Tuesday.

Owen Chavis looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaden Rogerson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

Appomattox County's record is now 14-6. As for Chatham, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
