Volleyball Recap: Bonanza Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Bonanza won the last time they faced Doral Academy Red Rock and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bengals put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 3-0 victory.

Bonanza was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21, 25-21.

Michael Wienand paced Bonanza's offense, picking up 16 kills. Wienand got some help from Massimo Pesci and his 15 assists. Alejandro Zamaro controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Bonanza's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-13. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bonanza will head out to square off against Legacy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Longhorns will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they are taking a road trip to take on Durango at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
