Baseball Recap: Franklin Towne Warriors vs. Father Judge Crusaders

Franklin Towne lost against Father Judge back in May of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Franklin Towne Warriors fell 6-3 to the Father Judge Crusaders. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Franklin Towne has scored all season.

Franklin Towne saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braedyn Clinton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Clinton is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Matthew Lawless, who got on base in all two of his plate appearances with two stolen bases.

On Father Judge's side, Dan Krause looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Matt Kimbrell was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances. Mark Eddis was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Franklin Towne and nudges their season record down to 9-3. As for Father Judge, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.

As for Father Judge, they will head out on the road to challenge Neumann-Goretti at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
