Baseball Recap: Portage Takes a Loss

Portage fell victim to McFarland and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Portage now has a losing record of 8-9. As for McFarland, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Portage didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-1 victory against River Valley on the 10th. As for McFarland, they are taking a road trip to challenge Mount Horeb at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
