Volleyball Game Preview: Garfield Boilermakers vs. North Bergen Bruins

The Garfield Boilermakers will venture away from home to challenge the North Bergen Bruins at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Garfield took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Becton. The victory was some much needed relief for the Boilermakers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, North Bergen earned a 2-0 win over Union City on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Soaring Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Garfield's record is now 18-8. As for North Bergen, their record now sits at 16-7.

Garfield came out on top in a nail-biter against North Bergen in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Boilermakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
