Basketball Game Preview: Cyprus Pirates vs. Brighton Bengals

The Cyprus Pirates and the Brighton Bengals will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cyprus will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Cyprus came up into this matchup off a tough 26-point defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Layton by a score of 46-43 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Pirates have suffered since February 20th.

Meanwhile, Brighton got the win against Layton Christian Academy on Monday by a conclusive 64-41. The Bengals pushed the score to 50-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Brighton now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Cyprus, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
